It's a Bird, a Plane... a Ducky?

Today is Mason's first Halloween. He dressed up as a ducky. He had fun helping out handing out candy to the Trick or Treaters.

Mason is getting over being sick again. This is the second time he has been sick since he started day care. I'm just getting used to the fact that this is how it is going to be, and I'm never going to get much sleep. It is so much harder now that I'm back at work. I really need more sleep!

Mason has changed a lot in the past two weeks. He has started making a screaming, high-pitched "Ahh" noise and then laughing. It is quite funny. The other day, he smiled at himself when he was looking in the mirror. I didn't even have to provoke it. It was just like he thought he was cute. He is also pulling his hands together. He is starting to grab ahold of toys a little bit. He can't quite grasp them, but he will put them between his two fists and pull them to himself. All he needs to do is learn to open his hands when he does this. He has started chewing on his fingers. He used to only suck, but now he wants to chew. The other thing he has started doing is punching and kicking vigorously. He is getting strong and quick, and it is making changing his diaper difficult.

3 Months

Mason will be 3 months old this week. It feels like he was just born a few days ago. It is amazing how quickly the time goes by. I thought that since I posted the sad face, it is only fair to post the happy face and laughing face.

We finally caught it...

We've been trying to catch it on film for a while, but every time we get out the camera Mason starts being a ham and we can't get it. Here it is... the "sad face".

12 Weeks

Mason has now doubled his birth weight! He weighs 12lbs 4oz, what a big boy. I know people have been bugging me to post on here, but it has been hard to post since I've been back to work. I'll try harder to update it on the weekends.

After 2 weeks in day care, Mason caught his first cold. He was miserable at first, but is starting to get over it now.

We've been practicing sitting up lately. He is doing pretty well...

Unfortunately, his main motivation seems to be that he wants to sit up and watch television. If he can't see it, he gets upset. We are going to have to try to figure out how to get him to stop doing this. I have a feeling it will only happen if we stop watching.
