Disneyworld

Our trip to Disneyworld was so much fun! Mason got to meet Mickey Mouse and he gave him a big kiss on the nose.
We were a little worried about how everything was going to turn out. We left Jacksonville to drive to Orlando around 11, Mason's nap time. The thought was that he would sleep the whole 2 hour car ride and be ready to go when we got there. The stinker stayed awake the whole ride and finally fell asleep the last 25 minutes of the ride.

When we got to the hotel and checked in, I tried to get Mason to fall back to sleep for about an hour, but he did not fall asleep, even though he was dead tired. So, we decided to just go ahead and go to Disneyworld with no nap.

It was raining on and off the whole day, so we had to wear ponchos around the park.

It ended up being ok though because most of the rides were covered or inside. I think it would've been more fun if it were nicer out, but we still had a great time. Here is Mason riding on the horsey.Playing in the pretend house...

Riding in the teacup ride...
Maybe it is more fun to ride on Daddy's lap...
Waiting in line isn't so bad...

Mason's favorite ride was called "It's a Small World". It was a boat ride through a tunnel with a bunch of little people singing. He loved this ride! Here are a few pics...

Even with the rain and without a nap, we really had a great time! Mason actually ended up in a good mood, and he wasn't cranky. I guess there was so much entertainment that it kept him awake. When we got back to the hotel room, we ate some dinner. Normally, when I put Mason to bed, it takes him 20-30 minutes of squirming around before he falls asleep. He was so exhausted from the long day and no nap. It was about 10pm when I laid him down in the hotel. I sat him on the bed and told him to lay down. He laid down on his stomach and did not move one single inch. I swear he fell asleep as soon as his head hit the bed.

Trip to Florida

We just got back from our Easter trip to Jacksonville. We had a great time! Unfortunately, it was a little cold, but it was still much warmer than Indianapolis. We arrived there on Friday. Friday night, we went to dinner at a yummy Cajun restaraunt.

On Saturday, during the day, we went to visit the historic St Augustine. We went on a tour ride and learned all about the history of the "oldest city in the country". We got to see a lot of things about Ponce de Leon and The Fountain of Youth. All of the pictures I've posted here are from that trip.
Saturday night, Efe's mom cooked dinner and we celebrated her birthday. Mason had a great time. He is so attached to his Auntie Maro. He would not let her out of his sight all weekend. Every time she went into another room, he would say, "Auntie, where-a-ya?".

On Monday, we drove to Orlando and went to Disneyworld. I will blog about that in another post because I have a lot of pictures.

Children's Museum

We went to the Children's Museum a few weeks ago and Mason absolutely LOVED it. He had such a good time. I had no idea how much stuff they had to do for kids this age. He had so much fun playing there and I had a hard time getting him to leave.
