First Tooth Lost

Today when I picked up Mason from school, he was missing a tooth! He didn't even realize it was gone until I asked him where his tooth went. It just disappeared! I asked him later if he remembered chewing on anything really hard at lunch time and he did. He said he spit it out.

He asked if we could go back to the lunch room and look through the trash and try to find his missing tooth. I told him we could just write the tooth fairy a letter explaining the situation and that I thought she would understand.

First Day of First Grade

Mine tiny little baby started 1st grade today. He was very excited on the walk there.
Once we got in line, it was a bit overwhelming. There were tons of students and parents and it was all very crowded. Mason seemed very nervous and was holding on to me the whole time. But, as soon as the line moved inside, he just told me "bye" and walked on in!

Look who is in Chicago!

It is our friends Torrey and Dave and their little baby Ellie! We met Torrey in Amsterdam, when were were both expats there. Mason LOVED playing with Ellie and she loved him too.
And, for the record, Ellie is tiny! She always looks so much bigger in the pictures that I see posted of her and seeing her today I was shocked at how little she really is. Look at this little squirt.
