Calling his friends

Mason has started trying to make phone calls on our cell phone. I guess he picked it up from watching us on the phone all the time.

Zoo Visit

We went to the zoo last week. Mason loved it. He really loved the baboons the most. He also liked the rhinos, the ducks (of course), and any kind of bird. We went to the butterfly exhibit and he liked that as well, which I was surprised by. We fed the giraffes and went to an elephant show as well.

Bumps and Bruises

Mason is walking everywhere now. He is also falling everywhere. This week he fell against the banister and split his lip. He still has a little scab on his lip from it. Poor little guy. On his birthday, he fell and bit his tongue badly. It was bleeding everywhere. His tongue had a slit in it and it hurt him for a couple of days. He also fell and bit his lip at day care a couple of weeks ago. Those are the worst of them, but he is constantly hurting himself right now. Let's pray he makes it safely through these next few months ;)

Taking off

Mason has been playing jokes on me. I've been trying to record him walking, but every time I pick up the camera, he won't do it. Then, it seems like when I'm least expecting it, there he goes! All I could catch was the few steps that I posted a few days ago. Tonight, he was showing off, so I was able to catch it. He kept taking about 10 steps, but I didn't get the camera out because I knew he wouldn't do it. He just kept doing it, so I finally tried recording and I caught him taking about a bunch of steps on film.

By Request...

This is the best I could get. Mason is really picky about when he is going to walk lately. It has to be when he wants to, and on his terms. Here he is taking a few steps from the table to Daddy.

He's Walking

Mason has been taking a few steps for a few weeks now. The past few days, he's been getting steadier and steadier. Today, he just took off. It is so cute. He takes really short, tip-toe steps and smiles the whole way. We are in for trouble coming up!
