I begged Mason to be something cute, but he insisted on being Batman this year. Not surprising. We went to a Halloween festival last weekend while Efe's parents were in town. When we were driving by looking for a parking place, Mason said "That place looks like the most fun place I have ever seen!"

Repatriation
Repatriation - the process of returning a person back to one's place of origin or citizenship.
I finally have a computer again, so it is time that I start blogging. We have been repatriating back into the US. I have been having a surprisingly hard time with it. Through this process, I have found that I really do not like change. I really miss being in The Netherlands. Reverse culture shock. For weeks I was still shocked by the people speaking English around me. Things were just weird. Now I finally feel like things are slowly becoming normal. I am just really surprised at how long it has taken. I am American, so I thought I would just come back to the USA and everything would make sense. It doesn't!
Our newest adventure... Chicago! We have moved to a suburb of Chicago. It is a nice place, but I'm still getting used to it. I really miss riding my bike around The Netherlands, but I do love it that here it is set up very well for walking. It makes a nicer transition for me. I walk Mason to school and can walk to the grocery and a few other places. I really love that. I got my bike back and I think I could ride it to Mason's school, which I might start doing now that it is getting colder.
Mason is in Kindergarten and seems to really like it. He has a new best friend, Andy. When he gets mad at Andy, he tells me how much he misses Arnav (his old best friend). But, most of the time he is adjusting very well to the move.
I guess that is all for now, but I hope to start updating more frequently now that things have settled a bit here.
