Almost Summer

The weather here has been very nice. In the 60s and sunny. We've been spending a lot more time outside. Mason only has a couple more weeks of school and he will be done.

Maastricht

This past weekend, we made a day trip to Maastricht. A cute city in the South of The Netherlands. We visited the beautiful old church.
On the square, there was a fair going on, so Mason was super excited to be able to ride some rides.
On the bumper cars, he came full speed towards Efe. He was trying to escape another kid that he thought was chasing him (he wasn't). The problem was that he didn't know how to stop. So, he crashed into the side of the wall. He was fine, but it scared him enough that he was finished with the bumper cars.
We then headed over to see the famous caves that were built by the Romans, and later used again to hide during World War II. I couldn't get any good pictures from inside the caves, but they were cool. Maastricht was a little hilly, which is a nice change from the rest of the country.

Silly Boy

Mason has developed quite the sense of humor. He is constantly doing things to try to get everybody to laugh. If he wants to make a new friend, it is always his first move. He sometimes will do something funny, and sometimes he'll just bolt out a really loud fake laugh to make it sound like he is having a ton of fun. Sometimes the kids fall for it and bond instantly with him.

Mason

I really haven't spent enough timing talking about my favorite guy lately. He is becoming such a big boy, and turning 5 is just around the corner. That makes me so sad. He is loving school. His school is absolutely fantastic. He has 16 students in his class, and they are from 10 countries around the world! I feel so fortunate that he has had the chance to experience this school. His best friend in school is named Arnav and he is from India.
