Efe and I got to go on a date this weekend. My mom took Mason so that we could do some spring cleaning. We went to Ruth's Chris. Yummy!
When we were done, we were driving home to watch a movie that Efe had rented, when I realized, "Wait a minute, we don't HAVE to go home." It is funny that we hadn't realized it until then. We are just so used to spending the weekend home watching a movie. Also, even when Mason is home and we have someone staying to watch him, we always feel like we have to hurry and get back home.
We decided to go to a Martini bar for a few drinks. It was very nice to have a night out in Indy with no rush to get home. We still got home around 11pm though :P
My mom said that on Saturday night, she and Mason were watching a movie. She noticed him rubbing his eyes and asked if he was almost ready to go to bed. His reply was, "Don't worry about it." Little stinker.
The bad part is that I know he has heard that from us. Whenever Efe asks me what I'm doing, I tell him that all the time and tease him, and he does it to me too. It is kind of a realization that we can't just watch our cursing, we also have to watch our attitude to others. Mason is a little sponge, and is turning into us as fast as he can absorb it.

Happy Birthday, Paige Ann!
My friend Leah had a sweet baby girl this morning at 1:57AM. She was 4 weeks early, and her little lungs are not quite ready to breathe on their own yet. Lots of prayers to Leah and Paige to get better quickly.

First Movie
I took Mason to the theater today for his first big movie. We saw Horton Hears a Who. He did great and loved the movie. He sat still in his chair the whole time and ate about 3lbs of popcorn. The kid would not stop chowing the popcorn down.
The funniest part was that he wasn't heavy enough to hold the chair down (without it folding up), but he insisted that he sit in his own chair. He had to sit on the edge of the chair because if he leaned back the chair would collapse. In the middle of the movie, he tried it. I didn't see it happen, but he was saying "Mommy, help me!". When I looked over, he was folded up in the chair with his head and legs hanging out of the top.

A Baby Shower
Mason and Alexis were very interested in the presents. They loved helping Kristy open them and seeing what was inside.
They also both kept hiding under the table cloth. They would say "Let's go in the cave", and go under there. It was so cute. Once they were under there, you could hear them whispering, "They can't see us in here". I think their favorite part was stealing the candy off of the table though.
