9 Weeks

yesterday was my first day back at work. it was really hard to come back. efe dropped mason off for his first day at day care. i went to see him at lunch and he was so upset. apparently the formula was really upsetting his stomach. he isn't used to having so much formula. it was really hard for me to walk in and see him crying. he was just sitting in a swing, which was the hardest part. i know that if i were home with him, i would be comforting him when his stomach hurts.

today was much easier. i took him in to day care this morning and i didn't even feel sad. i went to see him and feed him at lunch time. when i took him back, i felt a little sad, but not too bad. i guess it will get easier every day. the hardest part is that by the time i get home, it is only a couple of hours until he is ready for bedtime.

working is not fun at all. i feel so exhausted. i guess my body will eventually adjust to being back at work, but i'm not sure how long that will take. efe is out of town this week, which makes it harder. i hope that mason starts to sleep more at night soon.

mason is really starting to smile a lot more now. he started smiling occasionally a couple of weeks ago, but it was only when he felt like it. now, i can normally get him to smile if i want him to.

8 Weeks

Mason had his pictures taken today. Which one do you like the best? They gave me a CD of about 100 shots. Here are a few. They gave me the unedited versions, so some of them are off center.

7 Weeks

Mason had a big weekend. He had lots of visitors. He got to meet his Great Grandma Keen this weekend, as Grandpa brought her to visit him. He was very lucky that she was able to come to see him because her health hasn't been great lately.

Mason is now big enough to use his swing, and we tried it out this weekend. He likes it, and that makes Mommy very happy. I actually got to eat breakfast this morning!
