Zen

The other day I couldn't find something. I was looking for it in a slight panic.

Me: "Crap! I can't find it."
Mason: "Don't worry, Mommy. Don't worry." And he just shook his head in a very calm way.

Art Festival

Mason and I went to the Carmel Art Festival today. It was pretty nice. They had an area for kids to do arts and crafts. Mason loved it.

Here he is creating his masterpiece...
and the final product...
and painting on the canvas...

Circus

We went to the Circus today. Unfortunately, I forgot to take the camera. Mason had a good time. Above is the hat that he got while there and we couldn't get him to take it off.

Me: "I liked the elephants"
Mason: "You wiked the elephants, I wiked the twowns (clowns)."

Day Care Doing Something

Well, I guess the day care actually IS teaching Mason something. Yesterday, Mason was counting. When he was done, I said "Mason, can you count in Spanish?" His response...

"Uno, dos, tres, quatro, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, ocho" - That's pretty dang close! I really had no idea he could do this. I only asked him, expecting that I would have to count for him while he said it after me.

So, either the day care is actually doing their job, or he is watching a little too much "Go Diego Go" ;)

Mason now will want to oppose whatever I say. Here is an example...

Me: "You are goofy"
Mason: "No, Mommy! I not doofy, you doofy!"
Me: "OK, I am goofy"
Mason: "No, Mommy! You not doofy, Mason doofy!"
Me: "Me too."
Mason: "No, Mommy! Mason me too!" (This one is funniest because it doesn't really makes sense, but he just knows that whatever I am, he must oppose and then say he is)

New phrases

Mason cracked me up yesterday on the way home in the car, Mason was looking at this magazine, and he tore it. He said "OH MY DOODNESS (goodness)!!!!! I bwoke (broke) it, Mommy! I bwoke it the book!"

Also, he says "Mere (come here), Taisa (Kaiser). Hey buddy, dood (good) boy!"

Finally Paying Off

Well, it looks like having kids is finally paying off. Now all I have to do is keep convincing Efe that it is really me doing all the work around the house ;)
