6 Months

Wow, I am so behind on my blog posting. Let's just say that having Mason home for the summer has kept me very busy! Makayla keeps me busy on her own, and then I feel like I have to spend quality time with Mason when she is sleeping OR getting stuff done around the house. That leaves me with pretty much zero down time. Mason starts his first day of 2nd grade tomorrow though, so I'm hoping that will leave me with a little spare time.
6 Months... Makayla is a horrible napper, which is also part of the problem with free time. Although, it is finally improving and I'm starting to see some more consistent napping. I'm praying it stays that way so I can finally get a break and have some time to get some things done I've been putting off.
Makayla started sitting up a few weeks ago, and has been working on perfecting that. She still falls down quite a bit, but is getting more sturdy every day. Hopefully soon we can stop putting a pillow behind her. She LOVES to practice standing up. I'm hoping, for my sake, this doesn't mean she will be an early walker. I don't see her crawling any time soon though because she hates being on her tummy.
Mason has been such a help for me. He watches her every morning while I take a shower. Not sure how that is going to go now that he'll be gone in the morning, but I guess I will figure it out. He really is the best helper and the best big brother. I feel so blessed to have both of these little people. What a lucky mommy I am!
